Our mission
RedNote (Xiaohongshu / 小红书) is full of wonderful content — cooking, travel, fashion, language, science and daily life. But the app wants you to stay inside the app. We built RedNoteViDownload so you can keep a personal copy of the public videos and photos you love: for offline viewing on a flight, for a recipe in the kitchen, or to re-watch a tutorial without hunting it down again.
What we stand for
- Free, forever. No paywalls, no download caps, no "premium" quality tiers.
- Privacy first. No accounts, no tracking of what you paste. Links are processed in memory and forgotten.
- Respect for creators. We add no watermarks and no logos — files are delivered exactly as the creator uploaded them, and we ask every user to download for personal use only.
- Honest engineering. If a link can't be fetched (deleted, private, sign-in wall), we say so plainly instead of pretending.
The product
RedNoteViDownload is a single web app: paste a RedNote link, get the original video as a universally playable MP4 (H.264 + AAC), the audio as MP3-quality AAC, or every photo of a gallery note in original quality. Everything runs in your browser plus one small server component that fetches and validates media on the fly.

RedNoteViDownload is an independent third-party utility. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed or certified by RedNote / XiaoHongShu or any related company, and nothing on this site implies partnership or approval by them. "RedNote" and "Xiaohongshu" are trademarks of their respective owners. The tool processes publicly accessible links that you choose to submit — it does not crawl the platform, does not unlock private content, and does not claim ownership of any third-party content: every video and image belongs to its creator.
Trust & safety by design
HTTPS-first delivery, hardened security headers, per-user rate limiting, spam protection, consent-gated analytics, an open abuse-reporting channel and accessibility features (contrast, focus-visible, reduced-motion, RTL). We keep the site within Google Search quality guidelines and the Google AdSense program policies — original content, clearly labelled ads loaded only after consent, and no misleading download buttons, fake notifications, forced clicks, hidden redirects or manipulative ad placement.
