Android makes this almost too easy. Here's the full flow — plus how to add the downloader to your home screen so it's one tap away forever.
The 3-tap flow
- In RedNote: Share → Copy Link.
- In Chrome, paste into RedNoteViDownload → Download.
- Pick quality → file saves to your Downloads folder and shows up in Google Files and your Gallery video section.
Make it feel like an app
Tap Chrome's ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen. RedNoteViDownload installs as a real PWA: full-screen, no browser bars, and the shell even loads offline. It takes about 20 KB of space — not 200 MB like a 'downloader app' full of ads.
Choosing the right quality
Most RedNote videos are uploaded at 720p or 1080p. 720p is the sweet spot for phones (crisp on a phone screen, half the file size). Running low on storage? The audio-only 128 kbps option is tiny. Deep dive: our quality guide.
Dark mode and Hindi
One toggle in the header switches between dark and light themes, and another switches the interface between English and हिन्दी — your choice is remembered on the device.
Common hiccups
- Preview plays but no file? Some browsers block auto-downloads — tap the Download button once more and approve.
- Slow first download? Large videos (100 MB+) stream through our converter; give the first save 20–30 seconds.
