Why the browser beats any desktop "app"
Desktop downloader apps want installation rights, show ads, and often break when RedNote changes something. A browser tool has none of those problems: nothing to install, nothing to update, and it works the same on Windows 10/11, macOS, ChromeOS and even Linux. Open the site, paste, download — done.

- Open the RedNote post in your browser (or copy the share link from the app — Share → Copy Link).
- Paste the link into the box on our homepage and press Download.
- Wait ~2–3 seconds for the preview, then pick a quality — the MP4 starts downloading by itself and lands in your Downloads folder.

Tip: in Chrome, open Settings → Downloads and tick "Ask where to save each file" to choose a folder per video.
Speed tips for big 1080p files
- Prefer Wi-Fi over hotspot for 100 MB+ files.
- Grab one video at a time — parallel big downloads share the same pipe.
- If the download sits at 0%, the share link may have expired; fetch a fresh one from the app (see our link-fix guide).
The one thing nobody can change
The quality list only shows what the creator actually uploaded. If a note exists only in 720p, that is the best copy in the world — no software can invent pixels that were never uploaded. When a 1080p or 2K stream exists, it appears in the list automatically. More in the quality guide.
