No shortcuts, no sketchy apps, no jailbreaks. Here's the fastest, safest method that works on iOS 17 through iOS 26 — and where your files end up.
The only tool you need
Your iPhone's browser. RedNoteViDownload is a website, so there's nothing on the App Store to install and nothing asking for weird permissions. Open Safari (or Chrome) and you're set.
Step 1 — Copy the link in the RedNote app
Open the video you want, tap the Share arrow (top-right), then Copy Link. RedNote copies a short link (xhslink.com or xhslink.cn) plus some share text — that's fine, our tool cleans it automatically.
Step 2 — Paste and tap Download
Paste into the box on the homepage (or tap the Paste button). Press Download once and wait a few seconds. Behind the scenes, the engine resolves the link, fetches the original video and validates it into a universally playable MP4.
Step 3 — Save and find your file
Pick your quality — up to 1080p when the creator uploaded it — and tap Download. Safari shows a small download icon in the address bar. Your file lands in Files app → Downloads. Want it in Photos? Open the file → Share → Save Video.
Saving just the audio
Music and voice notes from RedNote can be saved without the video: in the quality list choose 256 kbps or 128 kbps audio — you'll get an AAC file that plays in any music app.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing happens on tap? Check Settings → Safari → Downloads is enabled and you have free storage.
- 'Engine warming up'? The server is waking — wait 10 seconds and tap Download again.
- 'Link expired'? RedNote share links age out — copy a fresh one from the app.
