We hate vague errors, so our tool always tells you exactly what went wrong. This guide decodes every message — including the ones no downloader can beat.

First: how our engine works

One tap on Download runs our Auto-Retry Bypass Engine: it resolves the link, then tries multiple routes in sequence — a warmed session, a direct fetch, the official international rednote.com mirror, and more. Most 'errors' fixed themselves before you ever saw them. If you DO see an error, it means every route agreed on the answer.

'Sign-in required by RedNote'

RedNote sometimes challenges datacenter visitors with a login wall. Our engine usually routes around it automatically — retry once. If it persists, open the Advanced panel on the homepage: an optional cookie from a logged-in browser session (yours or a friend's) makes success near-certain. It's stored only on your device.

'Link expired'

RedNote share links carry a signed token that ages out — sometimes within days. The note itself is fine; go back to the app and copy a fresh link. This is the most common error, and the fix is always the same.

'Private note' and 'Content deleted'

Private = visible only to the author's approved followers. Deleted = removed by the author or RedNote. No downloader can fetch either — anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something.

'Network timeout' / 'Engine warming up'

Timeouts are usually transient — our server talking to a busy CDN. Retry after 10 seconds. 'Engine warming up' means the server woke from idle; the button re-enables itself in seconds.

Quick answers

Why did it work yesterday but not today?
Almost always an expired share-link token. Copy a fresh link from the app — it includes a new token.
