Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, and we keep nothing about what you download.
This Privacy Policy explains what information RedNoteViDownload ("we", "the Service") handles when you use the website. It applies to all visitors.
1. Information we process
a) Links you paste
When you paste a RedNote link, our server fetches that one page to find the media, prepares your file, and then discards it. Prepared files are stored temporarily (maximum 1 hour) so your browser can download them, then automatically deleted. We do not build a history of your downloads on our servers.
b) Standard server logs
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard, short-lived access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention, per their own privacy policy. We do not combine these logs with any identity.
c) Information you give us
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and message — used solely to reply to you. If you subscribe to a newsletter, we store only your email address with the provider named at sign-up.
2. What stays on YOUR device (localStorage)
Preferences and convenience features — theme, language, recent downloads list, favorites, and (only if you add it) your RedNote cookie — are stored in your own browser's localStorage. That data never leaves your device except the cookie, which is sent with your own parse requests only. You can erase everything anytime via your browser's "Clear site data".
3. Cookies
The core app sets no tracking cookies. Our advertising and analytics partners (once enabled) may set cookies as described in our Cookie Policy, where you will also find opt-out instructions.
4. Advertising & analytics partners
We may use Google AdSense to show ads and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage. These partners process data under their own privacy policies. Where required (EEA/UK/CH), a consent banner is shown before any personalized advertising cookie is set.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data is shared only with the infrastructure partners above, only to the extent needed to run the Service.

7. Your rights
Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP India, and similar), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to processing. Email support@rednotevidownload.com with the subject "Privacy request" — we respond within 30 days. Because we store almost nothing, most requests are resolved quickly.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. The API accepts no personal accounts and no credentials, which means there is no account database to breach. Prepared files have unguessable IDs and expire automatically.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, for material changes, note them on our changelog.

Links you submit
The only third-party data we handle is the publicly accessible link you choose to paste. It is used solely to locate the media you asked for, is processed in memory, and is not tied to any identity (there are no accounts). We never publish, sell or build a library of submitted links.
